Mike Sigel

Germantown, Md. – January 18, 2010 – DPR Group, Inc., a full-service agency that provides public relations and marketing support services to a broad range of companies and people, is announcing that five-time World Pocket Billiards Champion, Mike “The Mouth” Sigel, will perform three pool exhibitions and one straight pool seminar in the Baltimore. – Washington, D.C. area during the last week of January 2010.

Mike Sigel has won more than 106 major pool tournaments including three U.S. Open 9-ball Championships, three U.S. Open Straight Pool Championships and five World Pocket Billiards Championship titles.  Sigel played himself in the movie, “The Baltimore Bullet,” and was technical advisor to Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in the Academy Award-winning movie “The Color of Money.” In 1989, at age 35, Sigel became the youngest person inducted into the Billiard Congress of America’s Hall of Fame.

Mike Sigel said, “I used to live in the Baltimore area, so I am looking forward to coming back home seeing some old friends. After some time away from pool competitions, I am now sponsored by a great company, Dynamic Billiards of Germany, and am competing again on the Euro Tour plus a few events in the U.S. in 2010. I am looking forward to playing some of the local hot shots in the Baltimore-Washington D.C area during these exhibitions.”

The exhibitions are co-sponsored by the individual pool halls and sports cafes and the local chapters of the American Poolplayers Association (APA).  The public and anyone who loves playing pool are invited to attend these free exhibitions.

Straight Pool Seminar

In addition to these three exhibitions, Mike will be conducting an intensive straight pool seminar, which is intended as a workshop for intermediate to advanced pool players. The cost for this seminar is $80 per person and is limited to the first 20 people who register.
