    Yu Ram Cha
Yu Ram Cha wins Amway Cup

Yu Ram Cha completed an undefeated run to win the 2010 Amway Cup Women's World 9-Ball Open.

Cha advanced from her round robin group, with wins over Veronique Menard, Lyndall Hulley, Xiao Fang Fu, Ji Won Hyun and Hui-Shan Lai.

In the single elimination stages, Cha fought off qualifier Xue Chen and then pulled off what might have been the come-back of the tournament in her match against The Texas Tornado, Vivian Villarreal. Villarreal had early control of this match with leads at 4-1 and 8-3 in the race to nine. Cha came back and captured the match with six straight games.

Next up for Cha was newly crowned WPBA Regional Tour Champion (and Asian #1 ranked) Shu-Han Chang. Chang took a quick 4-0 and 5-1 lead, but would only win one more game as Cha came back again to win the match 9-6.

Cha's opponent in the finals was WPBA #1 ranked Ga-Young Kim and again, Cha fell behind early as Kim held a 3-1 lead. Cha didn't wait around to start forging her comeback in this match as she quickly won five straight games to take a 6-3 lead in the race to eleven. Kim would only win two more games as Cha cruised to a one-sided 11-5 victory and her first ever Amway Cup title.

Cha earned $20,000 for the win, while Kim settled for $10,000 in prize money. The losing quarterfinalists, Chang and Si Ming Chen took home $5,000 each.
