The Billiards Association Of Chinese Taipei (the organiser of this event) here is delighted to announce to the public that its partnership with Amway International Corporation on the promotion of “2002 Amway Cup The World Top Women’s 9-Ball Pool Billiard Invitational” is coming to the fifth April. This event was broken the record of audience rates (as the champion) island wide.

Amway International Corporation decided to sponsor this stop in 2002 because “pool” is not only a very popular sport island wide, simultaneously, it is also being grown across the Taiwan’s Strait. Furthermore, the positive image of “pool” is agreeable and acceptable between different kind of people globally in the recently years so that an international enterprise likes Amway International Corporation is pleased to upgrade images of its products through “pool” and those twelve most beautiful ladies with different nationalities.

Besides, those twelve beauties are representing global love and care to everyone such as Amway Corporation tailors on behalf of the mass needs. With their competent and many side performances in the competition venue, those twelve beauties also lead all men in the streets bear in minds that how positive the image of Amway International Corporation does such as their idols show out to the public.

In this event, there are seven athletes from the Women’s Professional Billiard Association, two athletes from Japan Professional Pocket Billiard Association, one athlete from Korea Billiard Federation and two from the organiser (Billiards Association Of Chinese Taipei) to be invited.

The following is some brief information associated with this event.

This stop is last for three days at the Taipei’s Municipal Gymnasium (Red Venue), which is located at No. 10, Section 4 of Nanking East Road. Time of first break is decided at 10:30 in the morning. Two days before competitions, all twelve beauties are going to have their press conference at Asiaworld Plaza Hotel in Taipei downtown in the afternoon of 3rd April. Videoland Sports (official television channel to this event) also will organise some athlete signing sessions during these three days on behalf of satisfying a great deal of local “pool” fans with their idols. At the same moment, Shanghai Television Company will broadcast Taipei's stop through live or main matches selected recording.

Additionally, beside Amway International Corporation, the organiser again would love to thank for its long-time partnership - Asiaworld Plaza Hotel and Videoland Sports for their kindness to give their supports to local pool promotion. Especially the latter one, it also supports local “pool” events greatly and now is assisting the organiser to introduce this discipline to Mainland Chinese people and “pool” fans through satellite TV coverage. The organiser also delights to thank for Shanghai's Television Company because this is the first time for them to work with Chinese Taipei on pool TV coverage.
