Faux Finger Pool
Two Time United States Trick Shot Champion www.chefanton.com E-Mail chefantons@aol.com Welcome back to Chef Anton's Magical Menu of Pool Ball Wizardry. When I was growing up, I remember watching Mike Massey perform his mind-boggling Finger Pool. He would take a legal sized pool ball into his enormous hand and then snap his fingers. This action would produce so much spin, the pool ball would curve in manners which were otherwise impossible. Or so I thought. After 15 years of practice, I realized my normal-sized hands were incapable of this miracle. Having a solid background in magic, I realized that if I could not do it for real, I would do what any red-blooded American would do, I would cheat. So I am proud to present, Faux Finger Pool, my "ode to finger pool" for those of us without gorilla-sized hands. Set the shot up as diagrammed. The idea is to have one of the cue balls to pocket the one ball, while the other pockets the two ball. Simultaneously, you have to "put enough spin" on the 8-balls to make do a 90 degree turn just before hitting the end rail, avoid colliding into each other, and then pocket three and four balls into the corner pocket. Sound impossible? It is. Unless you know the secret to this "crazy" shot. If you still do not know, email me to find out. Thanks and Bon Appetit. SEND A BETCHA OR AN ORIGINAL TRICK SHOT AND WIN A FREE VIDEO I need your help. I am in search of learning every "betcha" in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding. So if you know any "grifts", even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed video for every "betcha" sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway.
