Two Time United States Trick Shot Champion www.chefanton.com E-Mail chefantons@aol.com Welcome back to Chef Anton’s Magical Menu of Pool Ball Wizardry. I am sure it has been a long month with eager anticipation, but now it is time to announce the runner up Chef Anton’s Original Trick Shot/Betcha Contest. As a reminder, throughout the year the mailman has been hauling tons of entries into this contest. Those envelopes, which appear to have money in it, are opened and the top three submissions win valuable prizes. Well OK, they are not necessarily valuable, but they are free. The second place winner is Gary Pope, TX. This is a fantastic shot. It is easy to set up, but a little tricky to execute. With the use of a triangle in the corner the 4 ball is banking into to, it is much easier. You will have a lot of fun with it and once you get a feel for the shot, you could make it within three tries. Set the balls up diagrammed. Make sure the two and four balls are frozen. You will have to play with the aim of the four ball because each table banks differently. Once the balls are set up correctly, you can lightly tap them; thus, making a divot in the cloth. This will guarantee the same results. Shoot it with a medium stroke and slightly below center. Done correctly, the one and two balls will fire into the side pocket. The cue ball will gracefully go across the table to pocket the three in the side. And the four ball will bank the length of the table into the corner pocket to the standing ovation of the enamored crowd. Well, there it is. Congratulations once again to Gary Pope. SEND A BETCHA OR AN ORIGINAL TRICK SHOT AND WIN A FREE VIDEO I need your help. I am in search of learning every "betcha" in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding. So if you know any "grifts", even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed video for every "betcha" sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway.
