What a bargain!!! This month's betcha entitled The Grifter's Dream was performed by yours truly on the NBC's nationally synicated "Living Better with Carrie Wyatt" on Sunday November 22nd. This is one of my favorite betchas because it is easy to perform yet nearly impossible to figure out…unless you know the secret. The challenge is to make the one, two, and three in one shot without touching the other balls. Of all the shots I "cook up," this is certainly the Chef's Choice. It's quick, easy and has a surprise ending. When presented with an ingratiatingly unctuous personality like mine, you are sure to leave your marks perplexed and penniless…Bon Appetit. Set the shot as diagrammed. If this diagram looks particularly artistic, that is because it was drawn by the world reknown Seb Pauchon from Switzerland…what a journey. The cue ball goes three rails and then strikes the inside of the cue stick. Now for the "tricky stuff." When the cue stick starts rolling it will follow the path of the arrow and move away from the 4, 5, and 6 balls. More importantly, it will also move the 7 ball away from the pocket. This ingenious movement unlocks the secret passage way for the cue ball to have a free path to make the3 ball in the corner pocket. I told you it was tricky. SEND A BETCHA OR AN ORIGINAL TRICK SHOT AND WIN A FREE VIDEO I need your help. I am in search of learning every "betcha" in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding. So if you know any "grifts", even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately.
