With the balls set up as diagrammed, strike the 1 ball with high left hand english. The 1 ball will go off the rail, ricochet off the triangle and go into the corner pocket. The cue ball banks into the right side of the two (this is imperative) propelling the 2 ball into the far corner pocket and the 3 ball in the side pocket. The cue ball then billiards off the right side of the 2 ball and banks into the 4 ball pocketing the 4 ball into the opposite corner pocket. Viola!!! Good luck and Bon Appetit. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first.
