Ball In Hand

By Chef Anton

Welcome back to Chef Anton's Magical Menu of Pool Ball Wizardry. It is that time of the year again. March Madness is in full force, The Rock is gearing up to lay the smack down at Wrestlemania and become the undisputed World Heavy Weight Champion, and most importantly…it is time to announce the grand prize winner of Chef Anton's Original Trick Shot/Betcha Contest. The competition has never been more fierce and the trick shots are becoming more ingenious. In fact, this year for the first time ever, we had a tie. That's right, the Chef's Choice this year is a meal for two.

What do you get when you cross a skillful trick shot with a clever betcha? You get Jeff McCain's Award Winning Trick Shot called "Ball in Hand." I love this shot.

Here is the description according to Jeff. "Try to run a rack of 9 ball in one shot with ball in hand using a cue, but without touching the cue with any part of your body. Here is the way to win this sure bet.

  1. Set up table as follows.
  2. Hit cue ball striking down (with side of hand) hard to the right.
  3. Watch 1-6 balls go in side, followed by 7 ball in corner, 8 ball in side, and last the 9 ball in corner.

Well, there it is. Congratulations once again to the Co-Grand Prize Winner Jeff McCain, Canada. For his efforts, Jeff will receive a collector's edition copy of Chef Anton's Magical Menu of Pool Ball Wizardry. Be sure and keep your entries coming…next year's contest is only 1 year away.

Thanks and Bon Appetit.

SEND A BETCHA OR AN ORIGINAL TRICK SHOT AND WIN A FREE VIDEO

I need your help. I am in search of learning every "betcha" in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding.

So if you know any "grifts", even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed video for every "betcha" sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway. Please e-mail me at chefantons@aol.com or mail your entries to:
