Shot #4 Three Balls in the Side Pocket (solution)

By Chef Anton
Secret:
The shot cannot be made, unless you know where to place the triangle. Then, the shot cannot be missed.
Execution:
Just before you shoot the shot, place a triangle with its apex touching the 9-ball, the 4-ball should now be in the center of the triangle. Shoot the cue ball into the triangle with a medium stroke. The triangle will cause all three balls to go into the side pocket.
Trick of the Trade
For those of you who want to be fancy, you can add another three balls in front of the opposite side pocket. Freeze a second triangle to the other set of three balls. Shoot the cue ball firmly with a draw stroke. The cue ball will make the three balls and then come back into the second triangle and then make the other three balls.

I need your help. I am in search of learning every billiard brain teaser in existence. For example, the oldest pool billiard brain teaser known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding.
So if you know any hustles, even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed copy of The Pool Hustler's Handbook for every billiard brain teaser sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway. Once in a while, and always unexpectedly, I experience being in “dead stroke.” |

What Are The Differences In Pool Balls?
Yes, there are definitely differences in not only the brands of pool balls on the market, but also in the styles offered by the single leading brand. |
