Shot #16 A Practical Shot in 8-Ball

By Chef Anton

Greetings Scoundrels,

Welcome to this month's edition of my new column called The School for Scoundrels. This column will feature the world's greatest hustles, swindles, and billiard brain teasers. You will receive a number of benefits including the ability to:

  • Fool and Amaze Your Friends
  • Never Pay for a Drink Again
  • Protect Yourself from Someone Who Has Read This Column.
This month's shot is featured in The Pool Hustler's Handbook.

Proposition: Shooting from within the kitchen, make the 8-ball in Pocket X using a legal pool shot.

Difficulty Rating: 3

Origin: Nobody showed me this shot. I "created" it myself when my opponent put me in a similar compromising situation. Although I take no credit for its originality because I am sure someone else "created" it before me.

Set-Up:

Place the 8-ball in front of Pocket X. Lay the 1-7 balls on the table as diagrammed.
