Shot #14 Watermelon Seed

By Chef Anton

Greetings Scoundrels,

Welcome to this month's edition of my new column called The School for Scoundrels. This column will feature the world's greatest hustles, swindles, and billiard brain teasers. You will receive a number of benefits including the ability to:

  • Fool and Amaze Your Friends
  • Never Pay for a Drink Again
  • Protect Yourself from Someone Who Has Read This Column.
This month's shot is featured in The Pool Hustler's Handbook.

Proposition: With a ball balanced on the rail, push down on the ball like a watermelon seed. The person whose ball goes the farthest wins.

Difficulty Rating: 1

Origin: Fred Hermann is credited with this shot in 1902.

Set-Up:

Place a ball on the end rail. Push down on the ball like a watermelon seed. Each person gets three tries and the person who makes his ball go the farthest wins.
