This month's trick shot is entitled Mike Steiner's - Send It. It is a unique pool betcha which was sent to me by none other than Mike Steiner from Toronto, Canada. This is a great shot which at first glance may seem like the old jumping the ball out of the triangle trick. But it is not. With a closer look, this strange phenomena can be used to win many drinks.

The challenge is to make the 9-ball in the corner pocket. Since the 9-ball is inside the triangle it seems impossible. In one instance it is and in one instance it is not. That is the beauty of any great con game. With just a subtle variance, the operator can cause the mark to be successful or fail. The sucker does not stand a chance.

The whole secret is that if the lip of the triangle is face up, the shot is easy. If the lip of the triangle is face down, the shot is impossible. Well, difficult. Nothing is impossible. Set the shot up with the lip face up and tell your Mark that you can pocket the 9-ball in the corner pocket. Although it seems like it cannot be done, if you shoot straight at the 9-ball (as if the triangle was not there) with a level cue stick, the plastic triangle will fly into the air thus allowing the 9-ball to roll effortlessly into the corner. When your Mark says "Anyone can do that," challenge him to do it. This time, put the lip face down. Now it cannot be done. After you have cleaned him out, you can make the shot by jumping the cue ball into the 9-ball via the famous Jumping a Ball Out of the Triangle Shot.

Congratulations to Mike Steiner of Toronto,Canada for his great con, I mean betcha.

SEND A BETCHA OR AN ORIGINAL TRICK SHOT AND WIN A FREE VIDEO

I need your help. I am in search of learning every "betcha" in existence. For example, the oldest pool betcha known to man is where the three ball are balanced on the end rail in a pyramid configuration, and you bet your mark you can hit the other two balls first. This is exactly what I am interested in finding.

So if you know any "grifts", even if they do not apply to pool, send it to me immediately. I will give an autographed video for every "betcha" sent to me that I have not seen before. If you are not sure if I have seen it or not, send it anyway. Please e-mail me at chefantons@aol.com or mail your entries to:
