What a year Jeremy Jones has had! Ranked 43 on the Camel Tour in 1998, he finished the 1999 year ranked at #5! Jeremy came out full force for his first three pro events of the year. He was Runner-up to Earl Strickland at the first stop of the Camel Pro Billiard Series in Olathe. He then WON the second Camel Event in Atlanta, beating Dennis Hatch, Gerry Watson, Tang Hoa, Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante and Johnny Archer. Then, he was in another final a week later at the Inaugural BCA Pro Open, where he lost to Ginky 7-3 in the televised finals.

He was ranked number one on the tour for several months until he had a lull for a few months. Then came the U.S. 9-Ball Open in September and Jeremy beat everyone in sight and won the winners bracket of the 256-person tournament! He met Johnny Archer in the finals and although Johnny won the event 11-7, Jeremy showed the true heart of a pool player by coming back to tie the match 7-7 after Johnny went up 6-1. While Grady Mathews was commentating on the U.S. Open finals, he said of Jeremy to Nick Varner, "I just don't see any weaknesses in this young man's game, and he's only 28, I might add."

When December rolled around, Jeremy traveled to Alicanta, Spain for the invitational-only WPA World 9-Ball Championships, where he made his 5th appearance in the Finals of a professional tournament this year! This time, he met Nick Varner in the finals of this 64-person tournament and Varner came out on top, 13-8.

To round out the year, Jeremy was chosen as a team member at the Mosconi Cup and helped the American team win the Cup again by winning both of his single's matches and teaming with Mike Coltrain to win 2 of their 3 doubles matches. This performance was enough to garner the title of "American Player of the Tournament".
