RW POCKETS HOLDS 1ST EVENT OF SEASON 5

39 AWBT ladies met at RW Pockets on January 20th and 21st. This was the first event held at this site. We want to thank them for adding $500 and making us feel at home.

The ladies held a short race to 4 on the winners side and 3 on the one loss side, playing 9 ball on the 7ft. tables.

We finished the day at 8pm on Saturday bringing back the following players on Sunday: Katie Gray, Susan Mello, Carol Webb, and Susan Williams on the winners side and Angel Paglia, Marita Incalcaterra, Janine Robinson and Jean Vaillancourt on the one loss side.

Janine and Angel won their first rounds of the day leaving Jean and Marita sharing 7th/8th place. Meanwhile Susan M. and Susan W. advanced to the hot seat match.

Taking 5th/6th were Janine and Carol as Angel and Katie played their match. Congratulations to Katie finishing the day in 4th place. Angel then met up with Susan W. after Susan M. won the hot seat match. It was obvious that Williams was not through with Mello as she defeated Angel leaving her in 3rd place.

Mello and Williams met up with the possibility of 2 matches if Williams won the first set. Only one match was needed as Mello claimed victory in the first event of our 5th season. Congratulations to both ladies and a “way to go Mello” on her first place.
