The Arizona Women's Billiards Tour started their 2002 season with an event at Lazy Q Billiards in Gilbert Arizona where Jean Vaillancourt went undefeated including a hill-hill victory over Kristin Haney in the finals.

Vaillancount won the hot seat with a victory over Susan Mello and on the one-loss side. Haney then avenged her earlier loss to Mello by sending her to the bleachers. Haney won 5 straight matches on the one-loss side to get to the finals where she would try to defeat Vaillancourt twice but was unable to get over the hill as Jean scored the tournament victory.

Vaillancourt collected $339 for first while Haney took $230 for second. Mello and Marney Teague filled out the top 4 spots.

The second chance tourney was won by Liz Bernreuter who came back from the one loss side and defeated Katie Gray 3-1 and 3-2 for the victory.
