Arizona Women’s Billiard Tour had another outstanding tournament on March 11th & 12th at Rack & Q in Tempe. Thirty-nine women showed up ready to play on the 9-foot tables.

Just ask Anne Gray. What a great showing from our Tucson gal. She started Saturday off by winning her first three matches 5-0 to finish undefeated on the winner’s side and in the final 8. Then heading into Sunday she defeated Angelina Paglia, Susan Mello and in the final match defeated Kristin Haney 5-4. Kristin Haney took second place with an equally outstanding performance. She lost her first match to Meiko Yamanobe-Pollard and fought her way through the losers bracket. Susan Mello and Angelina Paglia finished third and fourth respectively, both producing some great matches in the tournament.

On Sunday for the second chance tournament we had a record showing of 24 girls. Diana Clayton finished 1st, Katie Gray taking home 2nd, Yevette Johnson 3rd, Marney Teague 4th and Laura A. Kelly Phillips and Barbara Parker close out the tournament with 5th –6th place.

Congratulations to all the participants for their heartfelt performances.

The Break Contest was a great success. Thanks to all the spectators for donating over $200 to the AWBT. The winner of the break contest’s $475 dollar Bilancia Cue was Terry Michaud and Terri Mann won our $275 Bilancia Cue.
