Rocket Continues Ascent In Denver

Arizona Pro Roger "The Rocket" Griffis continues his ascent up the Camel Pro Billiards Series' point ladder. His 13th place showing at the Denver 10 Ball Open moved him up to 29th place overall in the tour point's standings as well as bringing his years earnings to $6,477.

Roger started with a win over Michael Coltrain who knocked him to the one-loss side last month in Nashville. Roger followed this with wins over Teddy Garrahan (9-5) and JR Calvert (9-2) before losing to Johnny Archer (9-5).

On the one-loss side, Roger was able to avenge his other loss from Nashville by beating Kunihiko Takahashi 9-7 before losing to George SanSouci.

Also from Arizona were James Erbar and Tommy DiLorenzo (owner of Tommy's Billiards). Neither of these players were able to post wins in Denver.

Roger has two more events on the Camel Pro Billiards Series to make his way up the points list. The next event is November 3-8 at the Tulsa 9-Ball Open at Magoo's in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm sure we are all cheering for Roger to let all the pros out there know that us Arizona players can play with the best of them.
