Mika Immonen wins another game as Efren Reyes looks on.

'The Finnish Flash' Mika Immonen defeated Efren Reyes 7-4 in a match full of 'run-out' action, to move on the semi-final match in Vegas against Johnny Archer.

With 9 of the 11 games won via table runs, a big advantage went to the player who was able to make a ball on the break and the Sardo Rack being used, there was a ball made on almost every break.

Mika ran the first 2 racks of the match but scratched on his break in the 3rd rack which Efren proceeded to run out on. Efren then broke and ran to the 8 but got out of line and when he missed the long bank on the 8, Mika ran out to go up 3-1. A safety battle in the 5th game ended when Mika was unable to make contact with the 2 ball and Efren ran out that rack and the next 2 to go up 4-3.

After a missed jump shot on the one by Efren in the 8th game, Mika ran out to tie the match at 4. Another break and run by Mika in game 9 gave him the advantage 5-4. Another safety battle took place in game 10 but this time it went Mika's way as Efren was able to hit the 5-ball but not get safe and it was all over as Mika finished off that rack and then broke and ran the next one.

In the match before this one, Jennifer Chen broke and ran the last 2 racks to defeat Karen Corr 7-5 and move on to face Gerda Hofstatter in the semi finals of the women's brackets. This match will take place tonight while the men's sime finals will take place tomorrow afternoon to kick off the final day of the event.
