BCA Open 9-Ball Championships

Men's semifinals features winners bracket rematch.

Johnny Archer was perfect as he beat Mika Immonen 7-0.
The men's finals at the BCA Open 9-Ball Championship will feature a rematch of the winners bracket finals just as the women's finals will. Johnny Archer showed that he has not conceded this tournament yet by blowing away Mika Immonen 7-0 to move to the finals.

With the Sardo Rack in use, both players knew that balls would be consistently going on the break so the opening was one of the most important shots of the match for each player. The opening lag turned out to be much closer that the match itself as the lag had to be measured before Johnny was declared the winner of the lag.

From there, it was all over as Johnny won all 7 games of the match including 5 break and runs (including the first 3 racks) and only allowed Mika to the table after Johnny had locked up the cue ball in a safety.

The crowd was entertained by Tommy Kennedy and his pool ball juggling act after the match and will witness the women's finals between #1 ranked Allison Fisher and #2 ranked Gerda Hofstatter next. The winner of that match will take home $15,000 in prize money while the loser will settle for $7,500.
