BCA Finals Rounds Set

The matchups for the BCA Open 9-Ball Championship finals are now set.

The men's side will feature Santos Sambajon vs Tony Robles, while the ladies side will feature #1 ranked Allison Fisher vs two time defending champion Karen Corr.

While Robles and Fisher got the day off as a reward for earning the hot-seats on Thursday, Sambajon and Corr had to win TV matches on Friday to earn their spots in the finals.

Sambajon scored a 7-5 win over Alex Pagulayan in a match that saw Sambajon jump out to a 3-0 lead, only to sit and watch Alex win the next four games for a 4-3 lead. The players swapped the next two racks for a 5-4 Pagulayan lead, but Sambajon won the next three games for the win.

The ladies match saw Julie Kelly race to a 3-1 lead before Corr won three straight games to take a 4-3 lead. Kelly won the next rack to tie the score at 4-4, but Corr took control of the next three racks with a combination of tables runs and outstanding safety play.
