They whittled the field down to 3 at the Derby City Classic as Buddy Hall remained undefeated and handed Cliff Joyner his second loss. The only other match still playing at that time was Corey Deuel (who has stopped using his wide open one pocket break) with one loss already playing against undefeated John Hager. The winner of this event will be determined tonight and will pocket $5000 for the win, while the second place player will settle for $2,300.

The main 9-ball event got underway today with 176 players including 4 ladies (Helena Thornfeldt, Monica Webb, Nesli O'Hare and Ming Ng). The 9-ball event will run until Saturday.

The mini tournament was one pocket last night and Ike Runnels defeated Troy Frank in the finals for the $650 first prize.

On the action side of things, it appears that Marcus Chamat is still hitting them strong since Music City as he was matching up with Steve McAninch earlier today for a match in the 4 figure range and won the first and only set.

Back tonight with a winner in the one pocket event.
