Jose Parica and Cliff Joyner are both undefeated and Dave Matlock has one loss. With one player getting a bye, Matlock sat out and Parica and Joyner were playing at the end of the night. Earlier action saw Charlie Williams defeat Corey Deuel 3-1 before being handed his first loss by Dave Matlock 3-2. Williams bought back into the tourney and promptly drew Matlock again and was sent to the bleachers, this time by the score of 3-1. Banks event winner Larry Price was defeated by David Grossman and Grossman the became another victim of Jose Parica. Jimmy Wetch was also eliminated by Parica. One pocket star Shannon Daulton was eliminated by Cliff Joyner The 9-ball event has started with 223 players playing. A couple interesting first round matches saw Earl Strickland defeat Charlie Williams 7-3 and Corey Deuel defeat Rafael Martinez 7-3 Back later thursday night with another update. |
