As day two of the 4th annual Derby City Classic draws to a close, the 9-ball bank competition is down to 60 players with all returning players on sunday in the cash.

In the best match so far of the event, long time bank player Truman Hogue ran 13 consecutive balls to defeat reigning Derby City all around champion Shannon Daulton 3-2 on the Accu-Stats table.

Other matches saw David Matlock defeat Buddy Hall and Jimmy Reid lose a match by forfeit for the first time in his long career.

Accu-Stats is putting on quite a show with Max Eberle announcing the players, Michael Buffer style, with the lights turned down and the music turned up. The players for these matches are then entering the arena thru the crowd. So far, both the players and fans are loving it.

Accu-Stats has announced that they will sponsor a full rack bank exhibition match between last year's bank finalists Glen "Piggy Bank" Rogers and Jose Parica later on in the event for taping.

Friday night saw the first mini-tournament of the event where Evgeny Stalev defeated Troy Frank in 9-ball for the $1000 first prize.
