Top players fall in Generationpool.com Men's Event

Monday afternoon results are in from the Generationpool.com Ladies and Men's events.

In the ladies event, there were eight matches on the one loss side with Joanne Ashton continuing her hot play this week. Ashton scored a 9-7 win over Kim Shaw which eliminated Shaw and earned Ashton a match against Shin-Mei Liu later on Monday.

Other ladies advancing Monday afternoon were Melissa Herndon, Vivian Villarreal, Jennifer Chen, Jasmin Ouschan, Jeanette Lee and Dawn Hopkins.

The men's event saw a large number of top players sent to the one loss side early. India's Raj Hundal scored an 11-9 win over Shane Van Boening in the first round to send Van Boening to the left side of the board. Other top players joining Van Boening were Tony Robles, Corey Deuel, Ralf Souquet, Dennis Hatch, Charlie Williams and Thorsten Hohmann.

The men's event is already down to only eight undefeated players with the following winners side matches scheduled for Tuesday:
