 December 21, 2001 Europe 1 - 4 USA The following match-up continued the gloom for Europe as Mika Immonen and Niels Feijen threw away a 4 -2 lead to lose 5 - 4 to the US pairing of Nick Varner and Johnny Archer. The match was marred by controversy as Johnny Archer was called for a foul by referee Michaela Tabb after feathering the cue ball while making his break shot.
