They now need just four more matches to take the trophy and the prospect of no play on Sunday looks ever likely. Tonight it was Cory Deuel's turn in the final match as he hammered Bethnal Green favourite Steve Davis 5 - 1 to increase the misery in the European team room. With the crowd vocally pro-Davis, Deuel even apologised to them at the close for blitzing their man.
