Amit Drives Another Dagger into Allison & the West: Asia Leads Queens Cup 5-2

Manila, Philippines - Rubilen Amit started off Day 2 right on track for Team Asia. Though a bit shaky for both players, she was able to seal the deal 4-2 over 15x World Champion Allison Fisher.  Asia extended its lead to 5-2 over the West.

Fisher had opportunity in the first game to runout but missed her chance. Amit also had a chance, but both players clearly felt the nerves of their first ever big women's team event. Amit took the first rack, but Fisher was able to level it at 1-1. Amit took the second, and Fisher the next. The West really needed a win to gain momentum as they ended Day 1 trailing the East. Day 2 started shaky though as Fisher gave up another runout and Amit took the eventual 4-2 win to drive home a bigger lead for Asia.

"Ga Young is doing a great job as captain. I feel so much confidence in my team's abilities", said Amit afterwards.

Jasmin Ouschan is up next for the West taking on Taiwan's terror Tsai Pei Chen.  The heat is on.
