Debbie Schjodt wins Florida Amateuer Ladies Stop

3rd place winner Helene Caukin(L), 1st place winner Debbie Schjodt(C) and 2nd place winner Jennifer Nelson(L)

On July 10, 2004, Debbie Schjodt from Orlando, Fl proved to the competition that she was there to win the 4th stop on the 2004 Fury Florida Ladies Amateur 9-Ball Tour at Trick Shots Billiards located at 5880 N Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Fl. The stop drew a very competitive level of play with 16 amateur ladies each hoping to win the $300 added event.

Debbie Schjodt played steadily through the winners side while Lorraine Aquart, from Tampa sent previous tour stop winner Niki Rasmussen to the losers side in their first match leaving neither player able to finish in the money. Jessica Barnes lost her first match to Traci McCreary but met Traci again in the losers bracket putting her out and leaving Jessica in 4th place. Helene Caukin sent Jennifer Nelson to the losers bracket in a 7-5 match to meet up with her again after her lost to Debbie Schjodt. Helene was left in 3rd place when Jennifer Nelson reclaimed the game with a 5-2 win.

The play between the two ladies Debbie Schojdt and Jennifer Nelson was full of anticipation and great shooting. Jennifer jumped into an early 5-3 lead but a miss on the 9 ball was what Debbie would need to bring the score 5-4. With consistent runs to reach the hill Debbie had pulled out in from with great shooting making an 8-6 lead. Debbie closed our the final game in championship form with a 9-6 score to take her second Fury Florida Ladies Amateur 9-Ball win and an entry into a Ladies Spirit Tour event.

2nd place- Jennifer Nelson $170
3rd place- Helene Caukin $110
4th place- Jessica Barnes $ 60

Trick Shots has several locations in and around the Orlando area. The pool rooms are well laid out for tournament play with mostly 8' tables. The Trick Shots located on Orange Blossom Trail had 9- 8' tables, 1- 9' Table and 1 Bar Box`. All facilities have great menus of sandwiches, appetizers and finger foods with some great staff members. We have enjoyed their participation in the Amateur 9-Ball Events.

We would like to take this time to thank our media friends who help in aiding us in getting the word out to the players. Thanks to Inside Pool, AZ Billiards, Pool & Billiards, and Professor Q Ball.
