Tommy Kennedy, with the very able assistance of Ron Park and Jim Mazzulla, brought his SE Open 9-Ball Tour to Marietta Georgia this weekend for a $1000 added event at The Pool Room.
Bruce Berrong made his way to the quarter final match, where he defeated Jerry Slivka 9-8 to take the hot-seat. This left Slivka facing Kennedy in the semi-finals, where Slivka rolled to a 9-4 win.
Slivka was able to ride the momentum from his win over Kennedy into the finals, where he beat Berrong handily 11-5.
Slivka earned $800 for first place, while Berrong settled for $520 in second place prize money. Kennedy and cue maker Rick Howard filled out the final four players. The top female finisher bonus was split between Betty Sessions and Susan Hall. The top junior finisher was Jerry Bernhard.
The SE Open Tour will be at The Crooked Cue in Waynesville NC on July 24th-25th for their next event.
