Day one is complete at the Pechauer West Coast Tour's $4000 added Pokertropolis.com stop at Gaslamp Billiards in San Diego, CA.
On the winners side, four players are left and will face off first thing Sunday morning. Bobby Hunter will play Victor Ignacio and Ismael Paez will face Frank Almanza.
The one loss side will see Oscar Dominguez vs Dave Hemmah, JJ Cain vs Arturo Rivera, Bernardo Chavez vs John Pasquarella and Dan Wallace vs Stephan Eakins.
As expected, Stan Tourangeau and Paul Potier (ranked #1 and #2 on the tour points list) were in attendance at this event. The two players ran into each other on the one-loss side Saturday with Tourangeau coming out a 9-7 winner. He would not be able to pad his lead on the points list by much though, as he lost to Arturo Rivera in the next round.
With all the firepower that was in attendance for this one, the list of top players already eliminated is long. Fach Garcia, Marshall Jung, Jimmy Mendoza, Ernesto Dominguez, Ian Costello and Max Eberle were all eliminated on Saturday.
