Guimond Double Dips Sossei for Joss Tour Win

Kevin Guimond avenged his only loss of the weekend and double dipped Jeremy Sossei in the finals to win the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour event at Raxx Pool Room & Grill in West Hempstead NY on November 22nd and 23rd.

Sossei defeated Guimond 9-4 in the finals four of the winners side, but that would not be the last that he would see of Guimond. Sossei went on to capture the hot-seat with a 9-5 win over Jonathan Smith.

On the one loss side, Guimond ran over Michael Yednak 9-1, and then won a hill-hill thriller against Earl Strickland. A 9-6 win over Smith set up the Guimond/Sossei rematch in the finals.

The finals would take both sets, but Guimond scored a 9-6 win followed up by a 9-4 win for his first Joss Tour win of the season. It was Sossei’s fourth straight top two finish on tour this season and he currently holds first place on the tour points list.
