Joey Kong wins 1st NYC Tour Stop

Joey Kong

The NYC Billiards Tour kicked off their first event with a field of 48 players at Spin City Café Billiards in Woodside NY.

The crowd witnessed stand out play all weekend from Robert Pole and Simon Lau, and many of the top players were eliminated on Saturday.

Dan Barouty defeated Joey Kong to take the hot-seat, but Kong came back with a win over Pole on the one-loss side to earn a rematch with Barouty in the finals. Kong then scored a hard-fought 13-10 win over Barouty in the final match to earn the tournament win.

Kong earned $1500 for first, while Barouty settled for $700. Pole and Joey Korsiak filled out the top four spots.

The NYC Billiards Tour will be at Leisure Time Billiards in Levittown, NY for their next event on November 27th-28th.

The NYC Billiards Tour is sponsored by Paul Rubino Custom Cues (845-496-3795), RJH Custom Cues, Competition Sports, GCSupply.tv and AzBilliards.com.
