Little Has Second Success in Carolina

The Fury Carolina Amateur 9-ball tour made Mojo's in Apex, NC a new stop on the tour on March 12, 2005. A field of 40 showed up to make the new room's event a huge success for room owners Mike and Marge Sutton.

David Brown, a tour regular, began the day with an impressive string of victories on his way to the hot seat with a combined 42-19 record. Kenny Wilson took the other half of the winner's bracket to get into the hot seat match up. Brown took the hot seat match and sent Wilson to the end of the one-loss side to face Little who had been put on the B side by Wilson earlier in the day. Little made quick work of the B side to get into the semifinals and won a tough hill-hill comeback battle over Wilson to get into finals.

At one in the morning, Little and Brown set out to settle the day in a single race to 9. The players traded racks until tied at 3-3, when things started to go Little's way and Brown began to struggle. Little took the next three racks to take a commanding 6-3 lead which he topped of with a snap on the nine in the next rack to go up 7-3. Brown fought back in game 11, but with a sharp cut on the 9 to the corner, he rattled the pocket and watched helplessly as the cue ball rolled up table and found the corner pocket at the other end. In game 12, Little had no reservations and he closed the match with a 9-3 score for his second consecutive tour victory.
