BCA Women’s Champions

The BCA Women's Team nine Ball Champions for 2005 are the Missing Chinks of Las Vegas. Captain Julie Nogiec led teammates Jane Fujinaga and Katy Moore to a two-set victory over the Happy Bunnies of Los Angeles, California. The Happy bunnies (Stephanie Boch, Hirako Mikiyama and Melinda Huang) played a strong first set and won that to force the deciding set which the Missing Chinks claimed with deadly shot-making.

Three competitions are still left to be decided today. The Men's Open Ten Ball singles event, the Banks competition and the Men's Open Nine Ball. There are still many teams still firing for the Nine Ball crown, while only Danny Medina, Shannon Daulton and Dave Datillo are left alive on the Ten Ball board. In the banks arena Nic Vita, Shannon Daulton, Brandon Shuff, Mike Pankoff, Tommy Dilorenzo, Tang Hoa, Fred Bentivegna and Brandon Ashcroft are still breathing.

As these events wind up today we will post the results and photographs of the winners. With a 100% increase in the number of Men's Open Nine Ball teams this year over last this event is showing potential for being as important a date on the calendar as the Spring Eight Ball event has been for so many years. Players in attendance here at the Plaza Hotel & Casino on Fremont are enthusiastic about the venue, the number of competitions available for play and the difference in atmosphere here in downtown Las Vegas.
