Shawn Putnam is the first marquee name to be eliminated from the Turning Stone Classic VI at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. Putnam dropped a 9-6 match to Adam Smith on Thursay and then followed that up with a 9-0 loss to Joey Korsiak on Friday.
Dennis Hatch scored a come-back win over Steve Lillis to remain undefeated on Friday. Lillis led the match 5-1 but missed a shot and watched Hatch close the gap with five straight racks. Hatch went on to win the match 9-7.
Other players advancing undefeated on Friday were Thorsten Hohmann, Karen Corr, Jennifer Barretta and Kim Davenport.
