Another comeback win for Seaver in Titusville

Jeannie Seaver

Jeannie Seaver has once again lived up to her old nickname of 'The Comeback Kid' and earned another win on the Ladies Spirit Tour.

Seaver was undefeated on Saturday and kicked off her Sunday with a win over Miyuki Sakai and then a 7-0 domination of tour newcomer Leslie Davis-Blaikie.

When Davis-Blaikie got to the left side of the board and found Tracie Hines had eliminated Ellen Van Buren, she knew she has captured the WPBA qualifier and might have relaxed a little as she lost to Hines 7-3 setting up a Seaver/Hines final match.

Hines took the first set of the double elimination finals with a hill-hill victory.

The second set started out looking bad for Seaver as Hines cruised to a quick 3-0 lead. Things looked even worse in the 4th game when Seaver scratched giving Hines ball in hand on the 7-ball. That was the last bad moment for Seaver though, as Hines failed to get out in the game and Seaver got on the scoreboard at 3-1. Seaver went on to win six of the next seven games and scored a 7-4 win to secure first place.

Seaver earned $750 for first place while Hines took home $525 for second. Davis-Blaikie and Van Buren filled out the top four spots.

The Ladies Spirit Tour will be at Baron's Billiards in Bradenton, FL on March 25th - 26th for their next event.
