Greg Hogue Wins Sandite Billiards All American Tour Stop

The October 28-29 weekend featured three 2006/2007 McDermott All American Tour stops around the country, one of them being a $1,000 added 8-ball event with twenty-eight players, hosted by owners Cindy and Mike Smith at Sandite Billiards & Grill in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, on Saturday. The American CueSports Alliance-produced event featured a double-elimination format on Valley bar boxes, and Greg Hogue of Tulsa, OK, ran undefeated through the field. In the A-side semis, Hogue whitewashed Russ Barker (Sand Springs, OK) 7-0. . In the A-side finals, Hogue overwhelmed T.J. Hamblin (Terlton, OK) 7-1. On the B-side, Lee Moses eliminated Russ Barker 7-4, Charley LaSarge (Okmulgee, OK) 7-3 and T.J. Hamblin 7-5. Moses's string of wins came to an end in the tourney finals, as Greg Hogue continued his dominating play to claim the title over Moses by a 7-2 margin!

By virtue of Greg Hogue being the highest-finishing ACS member, he qualified for a free singles entry into the 2007 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS.
