Blaze 9 Ball Tour Stop # 8 was hosted by Drexeline Billiards in Drexel Hill PA. I want to thank Bob Maidhof and his wonderful staff for hosting the event. A Strong field of forty-six players came out to play.
Leading the top half of the bracket was Allen Hopkins with wins over Geoff Bauer 7-2, John Downie 7-1, Shaun Dobson 7-2, Billy Kirshner 7-0, David Abraham 7-2.
Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Mike Davis with wins over Matt Krah 7-4 Bob Whitfield 7-0, Matt Douglas 7-2, Sam Quinzi 7-2.
Playing for the hot seat was Allen Hopkins vs Mike Davis This was a great match that went back and forth when it was all said and done it was Allen Hopkins coming away with the win 7-5 and sending Mike Davis to the one lost side where David Abraham was waiting this was also a good match with Mike Davis pulling away at the end 6-4, to get to the finals.
In the finals it was a rematch between Mike Davis and Allen Hopkins. This time things were a little different Mike Davis took control of the match late and pulled off a 7-4 victory.
