It's back to back for Lovely in Holland

The Golden Eight Ball in Holland, MI welcomed The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour on October 13th & 14th for stop # 3 of the 07-08 season. This weekend would see Liz Lovely the teen sensation from Dayton, OH maturing even more as a player to be reckoned with.

Lovely would start with a come from behind win over former touring pro Nesli O'Hare, scoring a 7-6 victory, Lovely would follow that up by besting her next two opponents Nicole Palescuk 7-5, and Liza Burke 7-2, taking her to Sunday undefeated to face Sunny Ulrich who had dispatched her first three challengers handily with scores of 7-0 over Tracy Johnston, Molly Yoder 7-6, and Irene Henry 7-4. This set up the winner side final between Lovely and Ulrich with Lovely eking out a 7-6 win in a nail biter. Ulrich would bounce back in the semi-final beating Irene Henry 7-5 to earn a rematch with Lovely.

The finals showed that Ulrich would have only one obstacle this weekend keeping her from the WPBA qualifier and that was Liz Lovely. The players traded games for most of the match before Lovely pulled ahead reaching the hill first, Ulrich then sealed her own fate, with a chance to tie the score at eight she missed a cut on the nine giving Lovely a easy shot and the win.

The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour would like to thank the owner of The Golden Eight Ball for hosting the event.
