Chad Gilbert wins New Hampshire All American Tour Stop

The fourteenth stop of the 2007/2008 McDermott All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted at the VFW in Hinsdale, NH, on Saturday, November 17. The $800 added event drew twenty-one players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes. Chad Gilbert (Hinsdale, NH) ran undefeated to the finals. In the hot-seat match, Gilbert (rated a “7.2” on a regional handicap system used) slipped past Scott Parent [5.0] (Brockingham, VT) 3-1. Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Gilbert dominated Corey Parker [8.4] (Hinsdale, NH) 3-0, while Parent eclipsed Troy Butler [4.3] (Hinsdale, NH) 3-1. In the B-side finals Troy Butler ousted Kevin Smith [7.8] (Winchester, NH) to claim another shot at Chad Gilbert. Gilbert again prevailed in the finals by a 3-1 margin to claim the title over Butler.

By virtue of Chad Gilbert being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-ball singles entry into the 2008 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors McDermott Handcrafted Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric and Nick Varner Signature Cases for their support in donating “Value-In-Kind” product for this and all stops on the McDermott All American Tour.
