Mike Zuglan and the Joss NE 9-Ball Tour was at Snookers Billiards Lounge in Providence, RI with a field of 60 players competing in a $2000 added event.
Sunday dawned with four unbeaten players and that number was cut in half when Ivaylo Petro defeated Bob Madenjian 9-5 and Karen Corr defeated Randy Labonte 9-5.
From there, Corr defeated Petrov 9-5 for the hot-seat.
On the one loss side, Bucky Souvanthong was making his way through the field with wins over Tom McGonagle, Randy Labonte and Bob Madenjian. Souvanthong's run came to and end with a hill-hill loss to Petrov, earning Petrov a rematch with Corr in the finals.
On this day though, Corr was unstoppable as she rolled to a dominating 9-4 win in the first and only set of the finals.
Corr earned $1600 for the win with Petrov taking home $1100 in second place prize money.
Zuglan indicated that the Turning Stone XI scheduled for August 14 - 17 is filling up fast and interested parties should ge their entries into Zuglan at 518-356-7163 as soon as possible.
