Four Remain In Hunt For Canadian Snooker Title

Fern Loyer pulled off an upset in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Snooker Championships with a 5-2 win over former touring pro Alain Robidoux, to reach the semi-finals. In the other quarter final matches, last year's runner-up Tom Finstad defeated Jonathan Sun, 5-0, and ran the tournaments high run to date, 141. Jeff Kennedy prevailed over Claude Bernatchez, 5-3, and Kirk Stevens defeated Lester Mianskum, 5-2. The semi-finals will pit Stevens against Kennedy, and Finstad versus Loyer.  

Defending champion, Floyd Ziegler lost his final 16 match to Finstad, 5-2. The results of the other final 16 matches were:
