Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour Set For Weekend of Fun (September 6th-7th)

The Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour will be making its way into Sharks-N-Shooters in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, this weekend (September 6th-7th) for its next $1000 guaranteed added event and we here at AZBilliards will be following along with live brackets during the course of the main event to see how the tournament plays out.

The winner of the main event will not only take home top prize, but qualifies for the 2008 Carolina Open, which is scheduled for October 7th-12th at Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The qualifier spot alone is a $200 value on top of the prize fund for the tournament.  Two players, Michael Fuller and B.J. Ussery, have already hit their limit of two spots (one pocket and ten-ball) so it is entirely conceivable that the third place finisher could earn a spot in the Carolina Open this weekend.  The main event will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday with registration beginning at approximately 12:30 p.m. The entry is $65 plus a $10 tour fee if you do not have a current tour card (women and juniors do not pay for tour cards).

In addition to the main event, on Friday night at 7 p.m., there is an open Early Bird Tournament to help you warm up that is a $25 entry, double elimination, races to five.  Then on Sunday, a Second Chance 9-Ball Tournament takes place at 2:30 p.m., single elimination, races to five – same entry fee of $25.

The juniors have their opportunity to shine on Sunday at 11 a.m. for their $10 entry division (entry waived if entered into main event).  All monies will be paid out at 100% for this division through the remainder of the season.

Despite the threat of a little bad weather, the tour looks forward to seeing many new faces and plenty of tour regulars at Sharks-N-Shooters.  While you are there, throw your name into the raffle for a limited edition Jacoby custom cue valued at $750; receive a discount on OB-1 shafts; or grab a few souvenir polo shirts from the Carolina Women's Billiard Classic.
