WPBA Colorado Classic Qualifier – Monroe, North Carolina

The Carolina Billiard Tour would like to announce that Burrkat Billiards in Monroe, NC will host the WPBA Colorado Classic Qualifier on August 8th – 9th.  The CBT will serve as a regional qualifying platform for the WPBA and will offer amateur pool players the opportunity to win a multitude of prizes including cash and entry fees to WPBA Classic Tour events that air nationally on ESPN/2.  Unlike many past regional tournaments, the CBT will allow the top professional ladies to compete along side top semi-pro and amateur players.  "Matching up against some of the best pool players in the world allows up and coming amateurs a chance to experience big time pressure like they will feel at a WPBA Classic Tour event," says associate tour director, Kim Shaw.  "Too often we see ladies at WPBA events that are awestruck and perform poorly because they don't have the experience of competing against a higher level of competition.  We want to see that change and hopefully prepare these girls for the big time."

Scheduled to compete in this first CBT tour event are recent Hall of Fame Inductee Allison Fisher, current #1 ranked Kelly Fisher, and other top tour leaders such as Kim Shaw and Tiffany Nelson-Crain.

All events will start with players meeting at 10:00AM and play will begin at 11:00AM.  All players must adhere to the WPBA dress code of no jeans, t-shirts, shorts or sneakers.  There is no charge for spectators, and the entry fees vary depending on tour and league membership.
