Cunha and Turner Pass Away

Pool has lost two great friends in the past week. David Cunha, longtime owner of Country Club USA in Chelmsford, Massachesetts and Buxton Turner, known to all USOpen 9-Ball fans as just Buxton, both passed away in the last few days.

Cunha was the friendly and always smiling face at Country Club USA. He hosted a Camel Tour stop there and went out of his way with his hospitality to both players and fans.

Buxton Turner set the odds and made the book on the matches at the USOpen 9-Ball. He must have set the lines pretty well as every time this writer saw him he was trying to get even on the final day of play. Folks always complain about betting lines, no matter who sets them, but many won off of the lines that Buzton posted.

Obituaries for both men are below.
