Columbus Ohio Area Welcomes UPA League of Champions

The area of Columbus Ohio, more specifically Franklin County, will soon start to see a boost in the way of competitive league play.  The United States Professional Poolplayers Association's (UPA) League of Champions has officially rolled into the area with operator Jimmy Fryman running the show.

Fryman, being the first league operator in Ohio to venture into the UPA league system, has kept an eye on the pool scene for some time and finally decided to make a difference in his respective locale offering the Ohio state players the opportunity to compete on essentially a nationwide level via the UPA's system currently in place.

The league will offer the player's both a handicapped and master division during a sixteen week session with the UPA's Systematic Speed Ratio program keeping track of each individual's play allowing them to determine where their skill level falls with other players throughout the country.  Not to mention, the league eliminates sandbagging, provides an official U.S. ranking, and offers monthly member giveaways to sweeten the pot for those interested in participating!

Darrin Brown noted after the addition of Ohio to the league: "It is amazing on what scale the league has grown over the past year - we have enjoyed the excitement and enthusiasm expressed by all involved thus far.  The development and launching of the program itself has been an exciting challenge for the UPA and we look forward to the continued expansion across the country.

The UPA League of Champions continues to broaden its reaches across the nation through league operators such as Fryman and looks forward to bringing a higher level of play to your area.  To find a league close to your home base visit our League Locator.  If one does not exist, be the first to start one and receive our "Early Bird Special!"
