Putnam Claims 55th Tour win on the Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour

Sept 30 - Oct 3, 2010-The Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour was hosted by Mr. Cues II in Atlanta, Ga.  The $5000 Guaranteed event kicked off on Thursday night, Sept.30th and featured 5 different tournaments for players to participate in.  Not only did the extravaganza of pool offer an array of events it also boasted economy buster entry fees for the participants.  The events would host 208 entrants in the 4 days of pool.

The Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour's $750 Guaranteed Prize Fund One-Pocket event kicked off with  36 players and a format of single elimination race to 3.  Paul Song would take home the win after he began his bid for first in the bottom half of the brackets.  Song defeated Craig Riley 3-1; David Shadden 3-0; Brian White 3-2 ; Horace "GroundHog" Godwin 3-2; and Paul Turner 3-1 in the finals.

The Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour's $750 Guaranteed Prize Fund 10-Ball event kicked off on Friday night with 64 players with a format of single elimination and a race to 4.  The event also boasted a $10 economy buster entry fee.

Adam Towery would claim the 1st place prize in this event,  Towery began his bid for the win in the top half of the bracket and defeated Bo Bellew 4-1; Fred Ruttinger 4-0; Daniel Turpin 4-1; Jason Stemen 4-3; Frank Quattlebaum 4-2; and Horace "Groundhog" Godwin 4-3 in the finals.

Saturday , The Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour's $3000 Guaranteed Prize Fund 9-Ball event kicked off with a format of double elimination and a race to 9 on both sides of the chart, the two day event also featured an economy buster entry fee of $20 and a full chart as 64 entrants would participate in the event.

Shawn Putnam would claim his 55th tour win in The Ozone-Olhausen Billiards Classic Tour's 9-Ball Event.  Putnam begin his race to claim first in the bottom of the chart and made his way across the bracket in the winners side claiming the win in set #1 of the double elimination finals.  Putnam defeated Dana Aft 9-2; Frank Carcioppola 9-3; Jamie Lowery 9-4; Paul Song 9-7; Jeff Crawford 9-7; John MaiKKe 9-6 in the match for the Hot Seat.  Maikke came back from the semi finals only to be defeated by Putnam 9-5 in the finals.

Sunday featured two mini tournaments beginning with  the $300 Guaranteed Prize Fund 8-Ball tournament featuring a double elimination race to 4 on both sides of the chart and with a low $10 entry fee 25 entrants would participate in the event.  David Eytcheson from Cape Coral, Fl would claim the $175 first place prize in set 2 of the double elimination format.  Eytcheson  defeated Dave Biggers; Tee McCalla 4-1; Greg Akers 4-1; Eddie Little 4-3; Mike Janis 4-1 and LD Cofer in the finals set #1-4-1 and set #2-4-3.

The $200 Guaranteed Prize Fund Sunday mini 9-Ball tournament would feature a double elimination format and a race to 3 on both sides of the chart as well as a $10 entry fee.  The event would host 19 entrants.  Jason Stemen would claim the $150 first prize after defeating Jenna Scats 3-0; Keith Graham ; Dave Biggers 3-0; Mike Clay 3-1; David Eytcheson 3-0; and Wayne Stone 3-0 in the first set of the double elimination finals 3-2.
