Upsets abound at Music City Day Two

Gabe Owen was one of the few top seeds to avoid a Thursday upset

Day two of the 17th Annual Music City Classic is complete and the theme of the day was upsets on the winners side.

Round three on Thursday night saw defending champion Shannon Daulton, Jimmy Reid, David Grossman, Cliff Joyner and Bobby Pickle all handed early trips to the one-loss side of the board. Last year's runner up, Gabe Owen, now stands as the favorite on the winners side.

Meanwhile, on the one-loss side, Larry Nevel bounced back from his loss to Pickle on Wednesday and defeated Bob Muriel 11-0.

Play in the open division continues on Friday. The ladies and scotch doubles divisions will also kick off on Friday.

Brackets are online and all match results from the first two days are updated.
