Biado out for revenge against Souquet in Bigtime Billiards Face Off

|8969|Manila, Philippines---Filipino Carlo "The Black Tiger" Biado and German ace Ralf "Kaiser" Souquet brace for an explosive showdown as they slug it out in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face-Off series dubbed as "The Prince vs The Emperor" on Saturday (November 12), 9pm at the PAGCOR Airport Casino in Parañaque City.

A race-to-9, winner's break, 10-ball affair, the PBB Face Off series is set to give Philippine billiards another milestone as the first to be aired worldwide through the Internet, live streaming at www.starbilliards.com.ph, www.megasportsworld.com, www.philippinebigtimebilliards.com, Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34 every Saturday.

Biado is out to avenge his twice 8-9 setback to Souquet during the Guinness 10-ball tour in Jakarta and the Philippine International Open 10-ball Championships in Manila last year.

"This time I will not disappoint my countrymen. I'm ready" said the La Union native Biado, a member of the star-studded Bugsy Promotions who won this year's tough BSCP National Pool Championships at the famous Star Billiards Center in Grace Village, Quezon City.

"He's a great player so you don't expect it to be an easy one," said Souquet, who beat Filipino Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo, 9-6, in the PBB Face-Off series last Saturday.

The PBB Face Off is a joint undertaking of Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp in close cooperation with PAGCOR, ACCEL, Diamond Table, Predator cues, Simonis cloth, Malungai Life Oil, I-Bar, Golden Leaf Restaurant, Hermes Sports, Billiards Managers and Players Association of the Philippines (BMPAP) with the Philippine Star as the official media partner.

Sports Betting at MegaSportsWorld favored Souquet (-1.6) against Biado (+2.2), as of Wednesday.

A $1-bet on Biado would win $1.60. A $1-bet on Souquet would win $2.20.

Despite Souquet being heavily favored to win against Biado, sportsman/businessman Ceferino "Perry" Mariano of Bugsy Promotions is optimistic that his ward Biado can win the match. "Carlo (Biado) is the most under rated player today," he added.

The Biado-Souquet match will usher in a series of challenge matches being put on by Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp. Other matches will pit Ronato Alcano vs Daryl Peach of Great Britain (Nov.19) and Francisco "Django" Bustamante vs Peach (Nov.26).
