The next stop on the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour will take place on February 18 & 19 at Sharpshooters Billiards & Sports Pub in Amsterdam NY. Sharpshooters, formerly Main Street Billiards, was recently purchased by our good friend Tim Berlin who also owns Trick Shot Billiards & Sports Pub in Clifton Park NY. Sharpshooters is the home of some of the Diamond Pro tables that were used at one of our Turning Stone Classic events just a few years ago. Sharpshooters also houses 7 Diamond bar tables to accommodate their in house and national leagues. Tim is completely renovating Sharpshooters to include a full bar, a complete pub food menu, darts, arcade games and nightly entertainment. Also, as is done at all of our Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour events, there will be a raffle for a Custom, Engraved, Joss Cue valued at over $1,000. Anyone can participate in the cue raffle and you Do Not have to be present to win! The drawing for this gorgeous cue will take place immediately prior to the final match on Sunday Feb 19. So come to Sharpshooters to play, or just watch a great tournament & to show your appreciation to Tim for his generosity by taking a shot at winning a $1,000+ cue in their raffle!
If you will be in need motel accommodations, there are 2 very close motels. America's Best Value Inn (518-843-5760) has a $45 rate. And the Super 8 Motel (518-843-5888) has a $55 rate for a double.
This event at Sharpshooters Billiards & Sports Pub will consist of a $1500 added Saturday and Sunday Main Event (entry Fee $120 for pro level or $70 for non pro level) and a $500 added consolation event on Sunday ($20 Entry Fee) for those non pro players eliminated from the main event on Saturday.
For those of you coming to play, please arrive on Saturday Feb. 18 Before Noon, and in proper dress please. Yes, jeans and sneakers are permitted in our billiard parlor events. But please, no T-shirts, tanks, shorts or sweats. Complete tour info can be found on our site www.joss9balltour.com
Our 2011-2012 season finale the $25,000 Added Turning Stone Classic XIX 9-Ball Open will take place on August 23-26. I am currently accepting entries for this great event which will once again surely fill to it's 128 player capacity. Entry fees are only $150 for current 2011-2012 season tour members or only $200 for all others. If you would like to compete in this great event I strongly suggest you enter early! I can be reached at 518-356-7163 or you can pay me in person at any of our Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour events until the event is full.
